Born and raised in Detroit. I have been influenced by many aspects of art and music. As a child I was allowed to play with the family record player. Exploring a collective mix of my father’s Motown and Doo-Wop, my Mom’s Neil Diamond and Jazz, my uncle’s Beatles, as well as my older brother’s Led Zeppelin, AC/DC and Iron Maiden records, I found a love for music.
My father was my greatest influence. Being involved with the Arts and Music culture in Detroit, as well as being a professional Artist himself, he would have me tag along with him to museums, concerts and cultural events that he was involved with.
As a child, my father would introduce me to some famous and not so famous musicians. I thought, “I want to do that “. Thank God my parents were supportive and allowed me to play drums when I was twelve years old. Not too long after that I began searching the neighborhood to find other kids my age to jam with. Because my love for music and my curiosity for how to play it. I began to pick up guitar, bass, piano and anything I can get my hands on. “if I can get three or more notes out of it, I try to make a song with it.”
Since then, I have played with many groups as well as solo performances from intimate bon fires to performing for Major Archer’s Inauguration ball, as well as everything in between.
Music as always been my love, my salvation and the one thing that keeps me sane in this crazy world.

I feel that I am not a specific genera person. I find that all music moves me in
different ways depending on how I want to feel. if I had to pick I would say Rock
and country hits me most .
I have been singing since I was 5 so there are a lot of people that inspire me I
loved that I could sing with my sister , Mom and my aunt old gospel tunes.
When I was twelve my aunt bought an Epiphone guitar and my mother bought
one too. I was instantly drawn to the guitar and started writing music and I
noticed that I love to mix styles such as country and folk, Country and blues
and Rock and pop it seemed like it didn’t matter what genre it was it all moved
me.
I have had the privilege of working in several bands singing backup to lead
vocals. I ended up picking up the drums and keyboard and studio equipment
to make cd’s of my works. There is nothing like playing live music you can feel
the energy of the music and the people and there is nothing like it in the
world.
I have a lot of Rock influences like Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton and my favorite is Pink Floyd
I have always loved music. At the age of 6 I played the trombone and continued until Junior High School where I played with the Detroit All city Junior band.
I then discovered Rock and roll and became a drummer in Junior High School. Over the years I picked up Bass and played bass in a few bands but then I picked up a guitar and that was my passion. There are so many guitars out there. One of my favorites is a Fender Stratocaster .
I have played in many bands over the years and I am currently playing in Eric the Red Band as the Lead guitarist.
Studying music at Wayne State University, he became skilled at playing different instruments, including the saxophone, horn, and flute.
Eric learned from some of the best, such as Norm Gladstone and Earl DeForest.
He continues to pound the Detroit Club scene for years, and has performed with local groups such as Dr Pocket, Regular Boys, Art of Fact, and many others. Eric's a soulful player and a consummate perfectionist!
